Rich Russian Rage of the Day: Russian oligarch Alexander Lebedev, owner of several British dailies including the Evening Standard and The Independent, decks former billionaire Sergei Polonsky in the midst of an economic debate on a Russian talk show, after the latter said he would like to “stick one” in Lebedev’s mouth.

“In a critical situation, there is no choice,” the former KGB agent later said. “I see no reason to be hit with the first shot. I neutralised him.”

Polonsky, a property developer, once famously said that any Russian incapable of making at least one billion dollars was “a loser.” He was ejected from Forbes list of billionaires in 2008 after losing money during the global financial crisis.
